Marienhütte GmbH
Marienhütte GmbH, headquartered in Graz, is one of the most efficient steel factories in the world and the only producer of rebars in Austria.
It was necessary to provide access to all steel elements of the excavator (stacker) in order to perform anti-corrosion and painting works.
The maximum height of the excavator was 50 m, and the overall length was 205 m. The structure was made of the “plettac Contur” system scaffolding:
Planning
Detailed information was obtained from the Ordering Party regarding the client’s needs in terms of the performance of the task, and the service was efficiently planned in terms of technical equipment.
Preparation
At this stage, the number of employees was completed to perform the service and
an adequate amount of scaffolding material was secured, as well as vehicles for transport. All the scaffolding was transported from Poland.
Execution
The challenge was the complicated and varied construction of the excavator, to which the scaffolding had to be adjusted to ensure the comfort of work for people performing renovation works. There were created many working platforms at different heights.

The scaffolding was completed on time, and the scale and degree of difficulty of its implementation were appreciated by the Ordering Party.
