Total S.A. – industrial insulation

Antwerp, Belgium

THE CHALLENGE

The French concern Total S.A. is the fourth-largest gas and oil company in the world, a leader on the LNG fuel market and a constantly growing player in the solar energy arena.

One of the most important points on the investment map of Total S.A. was the modernization of a refinery located in Antwerp, Belgium.

THE SOLUTION

Multiserwis together with a concern partner – Bilfinger Industrial Services Belgium – undertook the modernization of the installation located at the refinery in Antwerp.

The amount of our work included:

  • Dismantling the old heat and cold insulation.
  • Installation of a new thermal insulation – the materials we used were mineral wool and ceramic wool.
  • Installation of a new cold protective insulation – the insulating material we used was foam glass.

The elements of the refinery installation that our team insulated were:

  • Pipelines,
  • Valves,
  • Exchangers,
  • Columns,
  • Liquid Tanks.

THE RESULT

Despite many problems, we managed to achieve our goals.

Our employees had to deal with serious difficulties: time pressure, unfavorable weather conditions, dangerous situations at the construction site and various incidents.

The efficiently carried out insulation modernization project at the refinery in Antwerp showed that our team is not afraid of challenges – even the biggest and most demanding ones. This achievement proves the strong position that MULTiSERWIS has on the European market.

Our team, thanks to many hours of hard work, enormous commitment and liters of shed sweat, once again confirmed that MULTiSERWIS is a guarantee of quality, reliability and punctuality.
