Turów power plant – industrial facades

Turów, Poland

THE CHALLENGE

The investment was carried out by a consortium of Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe GmbH (MHPSE), Budimex S.A. and Técnicas Reunidas S.A.

Our company has been entrusted with the task of comprehensive execution of facade works in the chosen facilities.

THE SOLUTION

The design of the facades at the Turów Power Plant was a big logistical challenge.

Installation works were carried out at high levels – even up to 120 meters – using mountaineering techniques (about 70% of the wall surface) or from suspended platforms attached on the highest roof.

The use of mountaineering techniques was an innovative solution, never before used on such a large scale.

THE RESULT

The new power unit of the Turów Power Plant is the largest facade project we have completed so far.

Multiserwis, in the time period from May 2017 to mid-2019, carried out work in the field of design, delivery of materials and assembling of all lightweight covers.

In the same time as the facade works, we also performed actions related to the delivery and installation of the boiler thermal insulation and securing the scaffoldings.

Our contract included works on an area of approximately 60,000 m2 of walls and 22,000 m2 of roofs.

Thanks to the extensive experience gained for example during the construction of the power unit at the Opole Power Plant and also thanks to the commitment and diligent work of our team – Multiserwis completed the investment in Turów Power Plant with full success.
